CHOIRS

Over the years Robert has worked as a choir director and/or collaborative pianist for many different choirs. Currently, he works weekly with the following choirs:

Wesfarmers Arts Singing Classes  - WA Opera Company (collaborative pianist)

The Cottesloe Crooners: (Music Director and pianist)

Scotch College Community choir (collaborative pianist)

St Michael and All Angels Anglican church (Music Director and pianist)

In 2023 Robert was employed by the City of Stirling to run a series of “Singing for the Soul” classes at various locations through the City of Stirling. He also did several "Singing for Fun" classes at the Willagee Community Centre, through the City of Melville. These sessions were for amateur and/or non-singers

From 2020 to 2022 Robert was the collaborative pianist for Vocal Ensemble Voiceworks and Musical Director and pianist for Voiceworks PLUS, a musical theatre ensemble for people living with disabilities.

In 2021 Robert was the accompanist for the Wesley College Chorale. As a young(er) man Robert was the accompanist for the Perth Children's Choir.

From 2013-2019 Robert was the Musical Director for Resa's Pieces Singers - a 70 strong Toronto choir of amateur singers (www.resaspieces.org) as well as their sister choir Resa's Pieces Chamber Choir aka "The Treblemakers" which commenced in 2017.

In 2016/17 Robert was Music Director of newchoirtoo - the sister choir to newchoir - Toronto's first "rock choir"  

Between 2012 and 2019 Robert was the collaborative pianist for Village Voices (www.villagevoices.ca); from 2015-2018, he accompanied the Swan Lake Singers in Markham, Ontario, and from 2015-2019 he was the music director at Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Guildwood, Ontario, which also involved conducting the parish's choir.

The thing is I looked forward to our practices at York Mills Collegiate The reason was in part the music, but mainly it was due to Robert Graham. In Robert, you have a very, very talented musician, one who is tolerant of our shortcomings in a musical way and who makes the time spent there worthwhile and interesting. His sense of humour is valuable in that regard and his ability to relate to the choir members, me included, all of whom has his or her own shtick ( Robert, that means peculiarities), is quite remarkable, an innate kind of gift I think. - Gerry, Singer
