Above is the lyric video for “Water”, the first single from “Robert Graham and The Landing”
This song is deeply personal. It is Robert's musical response to a life-changing accident that occurred to a family member very close to him in later 2024. The person involved wishes to remain private so the details will not be shared here.
After the accident, Robert immediately felt a overwhelming desire to offer his support and love in a practical everyday sense to the person involved. While initially in the wake of the accident he was emotionally and musically numbed, he knew that he eventually wanted to express this compulsion in a piece of music. A theme kept recurring in his mind, the idea of “water”
Everyone needs water. It is not glamorous but sometimes water is what we need more than anything. Wine, sodas or spirirts are great but when we REALLY need it, when we are REALLY thirsty, no other drink will help like water does.
He wanted to “be water” for someone who needed it.
The result is this song, simply called “Water”.
Robert wrote the music and lyrics and his band “The Landing” consisting of Stephanie Cleary,Shayna Wescombe, Vince Pavitt and Mario Horvat, as well as guest guitarist Aidan Cleary recorded it. It was engineered and mixed by David Pensabene at Hopping Mouse Studios and mastered by Dave Robertson. The video was shot by William LeBlanc.
